Prada leather bracelet with watch design
I just found this Prada leather bracelet with watch design. Isn't it cute? It even has the hands of the watch! I first thought that it was a watch (a weird but nice looking watch) but the description told me otherwise.Would you wear this bracelet and have a watch on your other wrist? It might look weird from afar, wearing two watches on both wrists. I think this would look nice alone, without a real watch to pair it with. Don't you think so too?

Swimwear for Muslim Women
What you see in the picture above isn't a cross between a 50's swimsuit and a casual dress. This is the new line of swimwear launched especially for Muslim women. It's created by Muslim twins, Rima and Rasha Mezal, and it conveniently covers the whole body.
This line of swimwear is called Mezal (after the twins) and is starting to gain popularity not only in the twins' home in UK, but overseas as well. Oh and the Mezal swimwear isn't exclusive to Muslim women only - the twins claim that a lot of women have to cover their bodies due to religious, cultural and even medical reasons. With this in mind, Mezal comes handy because it allows women to enjoy swimming without the hassles of wearing big shirts, leggings and the like.
You can visit Mezal to check out their other designs.

What is it with underwear?
This is something that has been bothering me for quite some time now. What is it with underwear and designs? I mean, I see a lot of underwear that has really awesome and cute designs but what's the point of putting them there? It's not like you're going out without pants or skirts on right? The whole world wouldn't be able to see that smart "Eat Me" tagline or that pretty flower print anyway. Underwear are worn under clothes, so why not just print those designs on shirts where they can be ever-so-easily seen?
Different colored panties, I can understand. Bras too. Sexy lingerie can be excused since you probably wear those when you're on a special date with your partner and things heat up as the night progresses. But regular, everyday panties?
So do you wear these kinds of panties? Why?

Flying Free At Sunset Jeans
I absolutely love the back pocket design of the Frankie B. Flying Free at Sunset pair of jeans! That dove completing the shape of the heart is absolutely lovely. Well, even the name of this pair of jeans is lovely too... Flying Free at Sunset. Aesthetic, isn't it?
I love wearing jeans that have designs on their pockets, especially when I'm in a good mood. (Otherwise, plain old boring jeans would do.) I find it amazing how they come up with designs like these. Other jean designs from Frankie B. that I liked are:

The magnetic snap-on bag

So has anyone heard about the Miche Bag collection? I've just read about this now so this is my first time knowing that a bag of this kind exists. What makes the Miche Bag unique is that you only need one "base bag" -- the designs, called shells, are purchased individually. The picture above demonstrates how the Miche Bag works. You take the shell off and replace it with another one. It's that easy.
My take on the Miche Bag: I don't like it. I mean, the designs are pretty and all, but there's only one style for the bag itself that comes in two colors: brown and black. I think it's more of a fad than actual fashion. That's just me, of course.
Anyway, here are some of the cute shells Miche has to offer:

Style: Mrs. Beckham's many bags
I just realized, while going through some celebrity blogs, that Victoria Beckham probably has the most number of bags in the whole wide world. Maybe. So now I present you with different pictures of Posh's bags! Take note that she does love Hermes a lot though, evident in these pictures. One thing's for sure though: all her bags are way expensive!

Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 Collection
Today we feature Marc Jacobs' Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection. His designs for this fashion set is surrealist in nature, hence, I think it's a bit on the eccentric side. Check out the pair of shoes one of the models is wearing and you'll see what I mean. Heck, just look at the clothes themselves and you'll see what I mean. They're a bit too much for my taste but you decide.

The Controversial Abercrombie & Fitch
Now who could've guessed that Abercrombie & Fitch started out in 1892?
As a brand that covers clothing and accessories for people of all sorts, Abercrombie & Fitch expanded itself to five different sub-brands to cater to kids, teens, college students, post-college people, and women's lingerie: Abercrombie, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ruehl No. 925 and Gilly Hicks respectively.
That's not the subject of today's entry though.
Abercrombie & Fitch is a well-known brand, but fashionable designs contribute to probably only half of their fame. What makes A&F talked about are the numerous controversies revolving around the name Abercrombie & Fitch.
- They had this magalog (A&F Quarterly magazine-catalog) before that had nude and semi-nude pictures of models pages apart from the actual products. This was supposedly restricted to adult readers only, but was easily accessible to teens alike.
- Minority employees of A&F claimed that likable positions in the company were offered only to white men. This raised a lot of issues regarding discrimination against minority.
- Abercrombie & Fitch's products are controversial in themselves:
- Shirts featuring prints that depicted racial discrimination
- A&F released thongs for young girl that featured provocative messages
- Shirts that had stereotypical messages on them
- Products that was claimed by Christian schools to have "an unusual degree of antagonism to the name of Christ"

Hoodies
So what is it about hoodies that make people like wearing them?
I, for one, love hoodies. They're quite comfortable to wear. As long as they aren't over-sized, they can be snug and just falls into place. Well, even the over-sized ones are nice to wear but oftentimes, not so nice to look at because they can make you seem bigger than you actually are.
Apart from that, hoodies come in a lot of colorful and creative designs. I especially like Ed Hardy's hoodies. That fusion of Western and Japanese tattoos designed onto clothes are just plain pretty.
They're not only used to be fashionable too! I like wearing hoodies especially when it's raining because it protects me from being wet and cold at the same time. I can look good even when the weather's bleak. I don't see that many people wearing hoodies here where I live though. They still opt to wear jackets and sweatshirts which sometimes makes me wonder if people here are even aware of the term hoodie.
Do you like wearing hoodies?

Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani
Here are some of the designs for Harajuku Lovers, all designed by Gwen Stefani. They're heavily influenced by the Harajuku culture of Japan. Harajuku, in case you didn't know, is a place in Japan (between Shibuya and Shinjuku) where a different kind of fashion, made popular by the youth, booms.
Do you think the designs for Harajuku Lovers are cute? I think they're very cute, actually, a bit on the pricey side though. Would you consider wearing something like these?

Attention-whore
It's undeniable. Marc Jacobs is one of the best designers today. His clothes, bags, shoes and other accessories are top of the line. They're sought-after. They're given attention.
But guess what? Marc Jacobs probably loves the attention his designs are getting, but there's nothing he loves more than the attention he's getting.

Make your pet a fashionista
For the fashionistas out there, don't you want your pets to look as nice as you do? I found these Juicy Couture items that are made just for dogs! Imagine your baby sleeping like a princess in her own JC house or wearing matching hoodies with you!
Personally, these are really cute, but I don't want a toy dog. I'm no Barbie. I like big and mean dogs which would make them look really awkward when they have these JC doggy stuff. Would you want your pet dog using these?

Crocs - Comfort VS. Fashion
I don't know what it is about Crocs but a lot of people like it. Crocs has gained a big following in countries where it is available. They've come up with different styles, all of which still have the same material as the original ones - plastic.
Crocs was originally intended to be a boating shoe since it isn't slippery and with all the holes everywhere, water can go out as fast as it went in. These days, however, Crocs have become more than just a practical footwear - it's become more of a fad for older and younger people. Heck, even babies wear Crocs!
I also noticed that there's so many Crocs stores popping up here and there. Major retail stores, beach stores and other high-end boutiques also sell them. And man are they ever so expensive! Not really something you'd care to buy if they were still boating-shoes. But alas! This is the price of fashion.
Fashion? Crocs has been disowned by the fashion world, describing it as a "fashion disaster". I myself don't see anything spectacular about Crocs. I really find it hideous to wear and despite people saying that they're the most comfortable footwear ever, Crocs hurt my feet a lot.
Despite what the fashionistas think, Crocs remain popular and has released several types much different to the one pictured above. There are mary janes, mammoths, flip flops, sandals and alices. I guess some of the styles are okay, like the flip flops and the sandals, but the original ones are just...ugh.
Does anyone like Crocs? Hate them?

What is it about Thongs?
No, not the slippers, silly! I mean thongs as the underwear, also called the g-string.
I can't really imagine myself wearing something that can cause urinary tract infection (see UTI). I don't think it can even be called underwear. It's too small to be considered one, in my opinion, and it's in between a person's butt cheeks!! But despite that, it really became popular ever since it came out, and I've been wondering why.
Sure, it saves you from those embarrassing panty-marks whenever you'd wear a tight-fitting pair of cotton pants, but wouldn't you feel like you have an everlasting wedgie as long as you have a thong on? It's such a hassle.
Anyway, do you like wearing thongs?

Fashion Accessories
I'm so in love with earrings. Too much I guess because I used to have 4 piercings for each ear, but I had to close two holes on my right ear, so I'm down to 6. As we all know, accessories isn't only limited to earrings of course. There are necklaces, bracelets, watches, bags, wallets, charms, glasses and whatnot.
Most women love all sorts of accessories and they put it in the most creative places. It's also a wonder how the designers for these accessories are able to come up with the most wonderful and cutest designs.
So are you fan of accessories? Which kinds of accessories can be found with you at all times?

Denim Skirts

I don't have any trouble when wearing jeans, but I can't say the same for denim skirts. They feel so heavy and tough. I have a hard time wearing them.
So I want to know how women feel about denim skirts.

The ultimate fashion icon...
...is Barbie back in the old days. The new Barbie's look is just off, IMO. They shouldn't have re-invented her physical appearance. Bring the old Barbie back!
Anyway, Barbie has been a fashion icon for decades. Not only does she have the most stylish outfits that go from casual to formal, but even major designers make clothes for her! Of course, these "branded" Barbies are sold as Limited Edition ones and are quite pricey. If you don't believe me, the picture of Barbie above is the Givenchy Barbie and yes, it fetches loads of money.
I don't really know how they come up with the designs for Barbie's clothes, but they're all so wonderful. Her clothes include gowns, swimsuits, casual, semi-formal, laid-back, fantasy, international and themed - these are the ones that include Disney, McDonald's, fairy tales and other clothes that deviates from the usual fashion.
I'm wondering how many people collected those limited edition Barbies that look really fashionable (and kept them in mint condition). It would be a great sight -- boxes and boxes of glamorous Barbies lined up in a shelf, sporting intricately designed gowns and costumes.
Did you collect Barbies as a kid? Do you still collect them now?
Well here are some of those "designer Barbies" that I've been talking about.

Today we have Paris Hilton. It's undeniable that's she's one of Hollywood's hottest and biggest socialites, with numerous news bits, photos and scandals under her belt. Not only that but Paris is also known for different products that use her name to gain recognition - bags, clothes, perfumes, watches and whatnot. Medusa's Head
Anyone who sees this logo will automatically associate it with Versace. I guess that's how popular it already is. I don't really know why it has to be Medusa's head, so I decided to do a little research and here's what I found:
First, a little bit of history. I think everyone, at one point or another, studied Greek mythology and encountered Medusa. She's a once-beautiful maiden who was punished for allowing herself to be seduced by Poseidon in Aphrodite's temple. Medusa's hair, her most glorifying attribute, became snakes and anyone who looks at her will turn to stone.
Come the Roman era, Greek myths infused itself with Roman ones. Medusa, in this period, was transformed into a yet again beautiful woman with her snake-hair elegantly donning her head. This facinated Gianni Versace a lot, being a fan of classical art and all.
Him being from Southern Italy also helped in cultivating that fascination with Greek and Roman mythology and decided to use the powerful Medusa to represent his designs, which are for women who were passionate and opulent.

Jeans, anyone?

Are you a fan of jeans?
Jeans have become a staple in the clothing industry. Almost everyone has at least a pair of jeans. They're comfortable, durable and will go with all the tops inside your closet. The different patterns in jeans these days also make them look extremely classy and stylish.
What kind of jeans do you wear?
There's so many types to choose from. Skinny, boot cut, straight legs, flares, cargo...the list goes on forever. Not only that, but there are tons of makers of jeans to choose from too. Each has their own design, comfort level and such, so it really is up to the person to decide on which brand they will stay loyal to.

Who is Ed Hardy?
The Ed Hardy brand is probably one of the most popular brands these days. Even celebrities can be seen wearing their favorite piece of clothing by Ed Hardy. Be it shirts, caps, shoes - Ed Hardy's designs can be recognized even from afar.
But who is Ed Hardy?
"Don Ed Hardy" is a well-known tattoo artist who incorporated Japanese designs to his Western-style tattoos to create a more aesthetic appeal to them.
In 2002, Ku USA Inc. approached Hardy and asked if they could produce a clothing line using his tattoos as designs. After two years, Hardy Life LLC was formed to hold copyrights and trademark ownership of the clothing line.
2004 was when famed designer Christian Audigier, who made Von Dutch, licensed the rights to produce the Ed Hardy clothing line. He used the same marketing techniques that he employed with his own brand by opening shops in high-end districts to target celebrities.
The Ed Hardy designs attracted a lot of stars, including Brad Pitt, Carmen Electra, Hulk Hogan and Madonna, making them unofficial models of the brand. Currently, six Ed Hardy stores are in business worldwide.
Here are some of Ed Hardy's designs:
