Style: Keira Knightley
I used to think that Keira Knightley was pretty - back when she had more than skin and bones in her body. These days, she's super skinny, coupled with her recent choice of clothes, like that toga gown and such. To me, Keira's a woman trapped in a body of a young boy. But that's just me of course.
Some of the gowns that she donned when she was just starting her career were absolutely lovely though.

Style: Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman holds the title of Best Dressed Woman of 2007 which is why I saw it fit to feature her in this "issue" of Style. Here are some of her pictures in different clothes. Even if they're half-shots, you'll pretty much get the idea of how classy and sophisticated her tastes are.

2008's Beauty Guide
...aaaaand we're back!
Style.com listed a bunch of products that will help you become more beautiful this coming 2008. Honestly, you can't be truly beautiful with clothes alone. You need to work on your skin and hair and such for that added "glow." So here are some of the beauty trends that you need to have - yep, practically a bunch of necessities - to bring out the best in you for 2008!
1. Complexion - these will help you have a more rejuvenated skin all over. Recommended products include Origins, Burt's Bees, Clinique and Priori.
2. Anti-aging - nobody wants to have all those wrinkles, right? Recommended products include SK-II Signs Transform Foundation, Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup, Elizabeth Arden Intervene Makeup and La Prairie Cellular Treatment Foundation.
3. Lips - new year, new shades. Better get rid of those old colors and kick-start 2008 with these new lipstick colors. Recommended products include Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Red, Therapy Systems Tinted Lip Balm, Chanel Cream Gloss Lumiere and MAC Slimshine.
4. Nails - your fingers need beauty too! You can't just ignore them, right? Recommended products include Barielle No Bite Pro Glow, OPI Nail Lacquer in Hollywood Blonde, Rescue Beauty Lounge in Dead Calm or Under the Stars and CND Super Shiney High-Gloss Top Coat.
5. Hair - make yourself look younger with perfectly-styled hair! Short hair is the new trend for 2008 so you better book your stylists before January 1, people! Recommended products include Carita Le Cheveu, John Barrett and Hot Tools Helix.
6. Hair Colors - so you already have short hair. Don't think that that's enough! You still need to jazz it up a bit with these trendy colors. Do remember that monochromatic is in this coming year. Recommended products include Charles Worthington, Ted Gibson and Clairol Shine Happy.
So those are some of the more essential beauty trends for 2008. If you need a total make over, click here.

Body-shapers?
I still don't get why some women love wearing corsets. For one thing, it looks really uncomfortable. Well sure, it shapes your body into that much-desired hourglass shape, but I read that it gives you a deformed bone structure. Also, I've seen documentaries on women who wear corsets and they claim that corsets help you lose weight by controlling your eating habits.
How does it make you go on a diet? By making you eat less.
Since corsets are meant to be put on tightly, it limits the expansion of the stomach - so it forces you to lessen your food intake. In my books, that isn't so good.
I never really knew that there were different kinds of corsets too. And that you can get them in different kinds of fabric.
So is anyone here a fan of corsets?

Prada Spring/Summer 2008 Ready-to-Wear
This are some of the clothes included in the Prada Spring/Summer 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection. What do you think about them? Personally, I don't really like the designs at all. They look pretty...dry.

Fashion Trends for 2008
Fortune Magazine gives a forecast as to what the Top 5 fashion trends of 2008 will be. Try to guess and see if you hit one, two or all five predictions!
1. The Scarf
Scarves are the newest must-have accessories, as shown in some of the runway shows of the biggest names, like Hermes, in the fashion industry.
2. Fashion Sneakers
Fashion brands are now moving in to take part of the multi-billion-dollar rubber-shoe industry. We now see brands such as Lacoste creating more and more stylish sneakers for casual wear.
3. See-through Clothes
Sheer fabric-made clothes are the next big thing this coming spring. This style is included in almost every runway show for the next season and they're coming to stores everywhere soon.
4. Industrial Fabrics
Technology managed to sneak its way in to clothes and now, they're going to be one of the hottest trends next year. Anti-microbial and rubberized fabrics are being used to make the newest look of fashion.
5. Tomorrow's Hangouts
New retail shops are adding a bit of a bonus for their customers: lounges, salons and libraries are now part of the stores' layout in the hopes of luring more customers and making them stay longer.
So were you able to get at least one of those right? Do you see yourself getting along with these trends?

Chanel Loves Pink
Browsing through a bunch of Chanel bags, it kind of struck me how many pink-colored bags they have in different styles. I guess pink really is the basic woman color, after all. Here are some of those bags that I saw and among them, I like the Tiffany bag the best.

Heatherette Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear
These are some of the Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection of Heatherette by Richie Rich and Traver Rains. I think the colors are absolutely gorgeous. They're easy on the eyes although I'm not too sure if anyone would actually wear them. I guess they'd be popular in social and casual gatherings. Oh and of course, when you go clubbing!

Julia Roberts Armani Bracelet
This is the bohemian-style bracelet created by Julia Roberts and Giorgio Armani. This is part of the line of Emporio Armani's (PRODUCTS) RED. The bracelet has a Tree of Life with the words "Revolution-Evolution-Devotion Tree" spread right over the tree's foliage. RED is the acronym for Revolution-Evolution-Devotion.
The bracelet comes in two colors: brown for men and red for women. It was released last December 1, 2008 - World AIDS Day - which is primarily the reason why these bracelets came into being.

A new bag from True Religion
This is the new True Religion Leyla Day Bag that will be released this December for $758. I think it's pretty simple - I mean, I was expecting it to be...different, perhaps. The bead design hanging from one of the bag's buckles is pretty cute though.
Come to think of it, the color plus the accessory kind of makes me think that it's Native-American-inspired.

Here are some of Megan Fox's outfits. Personally, I think the casual/rocker-chick look works best on her rather than formal gowns and such. Her looks and body frame go well with those kinds of clothes.

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear
Here are some of Monique Lhuillier's Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection. I really love her designs! They all look elegant, stylish and classy all at the same time. Her bridal collection is wonderful but this line-up of this years' ready-to-wear clothes can still be worn until next year, right? Especially when you have lots of formal parties to attend. I don't think her designs go out-of-style that quickly!

I saw this Tom Binns' sterling silver small-bullets bracelet and I thought it's lovely. I think it also goes well with the Flaming Heart brooch and a Vivien Westwood punk set of clothes. What do you think?

A movie on Gucci
Calling all Gucci fans!
Fox 2000 has agreed to do a movie that features (and will be about) the Gucci dynasty. American Gangster's director, Ridley Scott, is given the task to direct the movie. It's still unknown when the movie will be officially released into the big screen, but don't you think that it's premier will be like a fashion show of some sort?
Anyway, the story will focus on Maurizio Gucci, grandson of Gucci's founder, Guccio Gucci. According to Variety:
So...looking forward to this?

Punk Heart
This Flaming Heart brooch by Mark Walsh and Leslie Chin was first seen at the Mullavey's catwalk along with other works by the duo. The brooch is made of poured glass with Swarovski crystals beautifully draped all around it. Oh and it costs a whopping $1,250!!
I would really, really, reeeeeaaaaallllly love to have one of these, even if I'm not a brooch-person. I could probably stick it on my bag or something...but then again, there's always the fear of losing it.
One thing I love about the Flaming Heart brooch is that it's classy yet it doesn't look tacky at all -- well, especially if you're into those Vivien Westwood clothing, right? This would look great in a leather jacket.
Would you buy this?

Fur-lined hoodies, anyone?
I don't really remember when my liking for fur-lined hoodies, jackets and coats started. I probably woke up one morning and thought, "Hey, I like fur-lined clothes!" Yeah, something to that effect.
Do you like fur-lined clothes too? What about these Ed Hardy fur-lined hoodies?

A&F Myra Jacket

Isn't this Abercrombie & Fitch Myra jacket just lovely? It's perfect for the season too! Especially if it's snowing or if you're planning to go on ski trips and such. I love its white color and that faux fur lining at the collar is just pretty!
I'd love to own one but it'll be too hot from where I live...and we don't have snow.
Anyway, Abercrombie & Fitch offers other outerwear like the Myra jacket that is absolutely perfect for winter! Take a look at them:
