BBC did a documentary on Japanese fashion - just to make people aware of their unique sense of style. I've always been fascinated on how they're able to make clothes look good together. Different pieces that you normally wouldn't ever dream of putting on together make a really cute outfit when they're wearing them. I'm so jealous!!

I loved this documentary! though I must say the japanese infatuation w/ american culture is a bit disturbing. I don't even think american's should be idolizing barbie so it's especially odd when foreigners do it.

I thought the documentary was extremely interesting. I feel that there is an increase in Americans being interested in Japanese and Korean fashions. I think a lot of it is in part caused by the saturation of clothing options within the United States. Teen girls especially, are looking for new ways to form their fashion identity. One way is by incorporating ethnic fashions into their wardrobe.
